  • Accordion Icon Arenas Players

Much like real cricket - players are of 4 kinds - Wicket Keepers, Batsmen, Bowlers, and All-rounders. Each player comes with a unique set of skills, which are -

    • Batting star determines the batting skill
    • Bowling star determines the bowling skill
    • Wicket-keeping star determines the wicket-keeping skill
    • Elite Academy Traits (EA) These are the Passive Abilities of a player that act as an additional boost over the base skills that they come with, and are an important aspect of any player.

There are two types of EA-

    • Tier I EA - This depends on the position (in the lineup) where the player is bowling or batting and has definite outcome. For example, if one of your players has a ‘Top Order’ trait and if you position the player wisely in the lineup, the player will get a boost
    • Tier II EA - This depends on the state of the match. For example, if you are chasing and have a player whose passive ability is ‘Chaser’ then the player will get a boost

The EA can be further categorized in two categories:

  • Accordion Icon Strategic Elements

Here are a bunch of strategy elements in the game that will come in handy when you are playing

    1. Powerplay: Powerplay overs provide a batsman a boost of 6% during the length of powerplay. Powerplay lasts for 5 overs and cannot be changed while the match is in progress - so choose wisely!
    2. Batting Aggression: The chances of scoring runs or taking a wicket is dependent on the star difference between the batsman and the bowler, but these chances can be controlled to a certain extent by managing the batting aggression - so use it wisely if you wish to have the outcome in your favor.
Batting aggression is of 5 kinds -
      1. Ultra-agressive
      2. Aggressive
      3. Neutral
      4. Defensive
      5. Ultra-defensive
The above are in decreasing order of aggression. Higher aggression would increase the chances of scoring more runs (boundaries) as well as increase the chances of losing wickets. Lower aggression would decrease the chances of losing wickets as well as decrease the chances of scoring more runs.
      1. Both Powerplay and Batting Aggression can be altered through two places:
      2. From the Set Lineup batting order page
      3. On the Pre-match Page when opponent is found
